Our Founder

Andrew Janczack is a graduate of UCLA, completed his Waldorf Training at Emerson College, and began teaching at Wynstones, England, in 1974. Subsequently, he worked at the Waldorf School in North Vancouver. At Summerfield School in Santa Rosa, California, Andrew took a class through the grades and four of his sons graduated.

During his Northern California sojourn, Andrew was also a  regular contributor to the Teacher Training Program of Rudolf Steiner College in San Francisco.

He took a class through grades one and two at Highland Hall and, in 2000, co-founded The City School, now known as Valley Waldorf City School. His first class graduated in 2006. Wearing many hats at a new school, in addition to his teaching duties, he developed the Tuition Adjustment Program and for several years formed part of those Tuition Committees. In addition to mentoring new Waldorf Teachers, he was CFO of Valley Waldorf City School, along with consulting in administration and development at the school through June 2020.
